Background:
The creation of the paddle steamer Eric Nordevall II is a unique event in modern time. For the first time ever an exact replica of a steam paddler from the early era of the steam engine has been built. The steam paddler has been built by hand be experts and it has taken more than 15 years. Eric Nordevall II is an exact replica of the original from 1837 and the passengers will get to experience how it was to travel on a steam paddler more than 170 years ago.
Eric Nordevall II will trafic Göta Canal between Stockholm and Gothenburg. The 29th of August 2011 the steam paddler was put to sea by Her Royal Highness Princess Viktoria.
